LCPC’S NEW “SHELTERING JOURNAL” FEATURES A DIFFERENT WRITER EACH DAY!
This week we’re launching a new blog on this website called “The Sheltering Journal.” You’ll find it on the main page – just click on the “Sheltering Journal” banner.
Every day throughout the COVID shut-down we’ll be featuring writers who are members and friends of LCPC. They’ll be sharing their thoughts, prayers, stories, frustrations, dilemmas, humorous insights, Holy Spirit inspirations and personal interpretations of the daily news – all from the perspective of faith in Jesus. A different selection will be featured each day. As with other blogs, you’ll be able to scroll down and read all previous selections.
We’re giving each journal writer a list of 10 potential topics, but they’re free to roam. The main thing we’re asking them to do is encourage us in our walk with God. And do it in 250 words or less! We’re also inviting them to include with their piece a photo or a work of art, though that part is optional.
Submissions are coming in each day and I’m already impressed with the quality, diversity and spiritual depth of the writing. We hope you’ll check in with us daily and also let others know (and send links) when you read a piece that lights you up.
The editorial team includes Kristy Hicks, Mary Wilson and me. We’d love to receive any feedback you have about the postings. Email Kristy at: < >
