Our Staff



Title: Pastor


 Andy Wilson has been serving as pastor at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church since September 1999. Prior to his current appointment, he served as youth pastor at Village Presbyterian Church in Prairie Village, Kansas for seven years and at Fairmont Presbyterian Church of Cleveland Heights, Ohio for seven years. He and his family also served as short term mission workers in the Dominican Republic. A native of southern California, Andy studied philosophy at Pomona College and later received a Master of Divinity degree from Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Connecticut. Andy’s wife Mary, a former television producer, is very active in the church and leads a weekly Bible study and the mid-week children’s ministry called SPARKS. They have two young adult daughters. In his spare time Andy enjoys backpacking, mountaineering, travel, photography, music and a good book.




Title: Director of Spiritual Formation

Lee Cook, originally from Moss Bluff, Louisiana, felt his calling to the ministry at the age of 17. He attended Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas and later received his Master of Divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey. Lee’s varied duties at LCPC include leading the contemporary service praise team every Sunday at 9:00 am, teaching classes on the Old and New Testament, and preaching monthly in both services. Lee enjoys running, playing guitar and watching the New Orleans Saints and the Andy Griffith Show. He and his wife have two children. Lee Cook has been  a featured writer on the InterVaristy Press website.



Title: Director of Music


Gary Woodward, adjunct assistant professor, winds and percussion, holds degrees in music from USC and Chapman University where his principal teachers were Roger Stevens, Arthur Hoberman and Edna Comerchero. He also studied extensively in the master classes of Julius Baker, Jean-Pierre Rampal, Marcel Moyse and Maxence Larrieu. He has performed as principal flutist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Pacific Symphony Orchestra and the Pasadena Symphony. He is principal flutist for the Los Angeles Opera and Joffrey Ballet. He has taught at the Aspen Music School, the University of California, Santa Barbara, Pomona College and the Idyllwild School of Music and the Arts.


Title: Producer of Contemporary Music


Dan Blessinger, originally from the Pacific Northwest, came to Los Angeles to work in the music entertainment industry. A Grammy Award winning engineer, producer, songwriter and musician, Dan brings his experience to the role as music producer for the contemporary service at 9:00AM. Dan enjoys watching baseball, playing golf and spending time with his wife Michelle, and their two children.


Title: Director of Student Ministries


Josh Horton grew up in Redlands, California. He is the oldest of 5 boys in his family. Josh is currently finishing up a degree in Christian Studies at Cal Baptist. He has worked at Mt. Hermon as a camp speaker and coordinator of their youth program. He has also been involved with leading a large Jr. High program at a church in Riverside. Josh enjoys hiking, backpacking and playing the guitar and drums. He is a self proclaimed coffee connoisseur. He loves soccer and his favorite team is Chelsea FC.



Title: Office Manager


Nancy Thomas has served as Office Manager since November of 2006. Prior to coming to LCPC, Nancy worked at the Walt Disney Company in International Distribution and Home Entertainment for 33 years. A native of La Canada, Nancy has two grown children and one grandchild.


Title: Director, Center for Children


Pat Chambers has had experience working with young children since 1977. A 1982 graduate from Point Loma Nazarene University, Pat has a degree in Child Development. She has been the director of the Center for Children since 1997. Before coming to the Center for Children, Pat both taught at and directed several other church related programs. Pat has spoken at national conferences on many occasions and teaches parent education classes throughout the Los Angeles area. Growing up in La Crescenta and at La Crescenta Presbyterian Church, Pat has a passion for the Center for Children. She is married and has 3 children, (all of whom attended the Center for Children) and she has 2 grandchildren.
